Pressure Determines the Refrigerant’s Temperature

A refrigeration system controls where refrigerant boils and condenses by changing its pressure. Lowering the pressure allows the refrigerant to boil inside the evaporator and absorb heat; raising it allows the refrigerant to condense outside the cooled space and release that heat.
